The central concern of the policy of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action is to lay the foundation for economic prosperity in Germany with the broad participation of all citizens as well as for a modern system of economic relations. This is intended to ensure both competitiveness and a high level of employment.
This task corresponds to the legislative, administrative and coordinating functions of the ministry, for example in energy, industry and innovation policy as well as in competition, SME and European policy.
